Strange Phrase Indeed

 Saturday... something

I don't like snails or toads or frogs
Or strange things living under logs
But mmm, I love onions!

I don't like to dance with Crazy Ted
He's always jumping on my head
But mmm, I love onions!

Onions, onions, la-la-la!
Onions, onions, ha-ha-ha!
Root doot doot-doot, doot doot doot!

Onions, onions, la-la-la!
Onions, onions, ha-ha-ha!
Root doot doot-doot, doot doot doot!

I don't like rain or snow or hail
Or Moby Dick the Great White Whale
But mmm, I love onions!

I don't like shoes that pinch your toes
Or people who squirt you with a garden hose
But mmm, I love onions!

Onions, onions, la-la-la!
Onions, onions, ha-ha-ha!
Root doot doot-doot, doot doot doot!

Onions, onions, la-la-la!
Onions, onions, ha-ha-ha!
Root doot doot-doot, doot doot doot!

SPOKEN: Onion is a tuberous vegetable, and is a member of the genus
Stinkus Delicioso. It was highly prized by the ancient Egyptian
pharaohs and their friends and cousins. It causes watering of the
eyes and rubifaction of the skin, but it is very, very tasty.

Onions, onions, la-la-la!
Onions, onions, ha-ha-ha!
Root doot doot-doot, doot doot doot!

Onions, onions, la-la-la!
Onions, onions, ha-ha-ha!
Root doot doot-doot, doot doot doot!

How vewy, vewy cwood.

And There Was Pie... And It Was Good!

Shot my diet all to hell today. I went to Baker's Square with Carrie for a salad an ended up eating a piece of strawberry rhubarb pie too. Man, it was good!

On the way home, I decided to re-name Carrie, her sister and her niece. Yep.

From now on Carrie will be called Enigmatic One,

Jennifer will be known as The Capricious Pundit,

and Alayna is now The Magisterial Mesmeric Midget...

You know... until they make me stop. Even then, though, I thought that it would also be nice to re-name my co-workers. So far, I've just decided on Jose's new name, but I can't tell you until I've had the tech department block access to my blog from his computer.

 Help?

I had a dream last night that scared me. When I woke up, I knew that it was important that I remembered it, so I tried to go over it and make it stick in my brain, but some of it got lost. I'm not completely sure that I know what it means. If anyone wants to take a stab at it, feel free....

The first part I've mostly forgotten. I was in a place that seemed familiar, and I knew that I had to escape because there was something bad there, so I went to the basement (?) and tried the underground exits, but most of them were blocked with something that must have scared me. Eventually I got out, but I don't remember how.

The second part took place in a garage. I don't think that I was getting a car fixed or anything, so I'm not sure why I was there. I was talking to someone and looking out the window and the clouds were forming snake-like shapes and twisting down. I asked if that was a tornado, and the man there said yes. I said that I wanted to go to a basement, but there wasn't one. The garage had windows and some of the walls were big doors with tarp-like stuff... not at all storm-proof, but the twister was coming and there was nowhere to go, so we all crouched down and tried to find something to hold on to. All that I could find was the bottom fabric on a small chair.

The first part of the storm went through and blew things around, but nobody was hurt, and then things became very calm and still. Somebody asked if it was over, and I said no, I thought that we were in the middle of it.

A few seconds later, the winds tore through and threw things around. The girls were safe the whole time on the other side of the garage, but I got hit by a few things. Then... a giant red tractor came through one of the walls. It was moving very fast, and stopped just inches from running me over. The winds got stronger and the tractor was pulled back out the way that it came in and sucked up into the sky, but I was still there. One or two cars also drove into the garage, seeking shelter, I think, and the storm did the same thing to them... pulling them back out and into the sky. At one point the wind picked me up and threw me half way to the ceiling and then dropped me, but I was okay.

When the storm was over, I said that I wanted to go to my sister Lydia's house where there was a basement just in case it came back, but the man there said that I had to stay because it wasn't safe to travel yet. I said... "but the storm picked me up and threw me towards the ceiling", and he said, "yeah, but you're okay". That's all that I really remember, but the FEEL of the dream was odd, and it bothered me for the rest of the night. I'm sure that it must have meant something.
