Friday Five...

1. When I walked in to my office this morning, there were five headless duckies sitting on my desk. (Thanks, Paul.)


3. At some point (probably after we had kids of our own), I think that all five of us apologized to Mom for being such brats while we were growing up. She always just smiled and said, "Well, we made it."

4. One of my employees brought me a present today -- a little bitty rubber chicken! (With a head)


5. "On my way to better things... I found myself some wings..." I LOVE the Guess Who.

Jennifer had her 20-week ultrasound today, and IT’S A GIRL!!!
You can see her little nose and her little chin… she’s gorgeous.

I called my friend Steve to tell him the news:

Steve: So… FOUR women in your house now??
Me: Yes!
Steve: (long pause)
Me: Well, some of the animals are boys, but they were fixed.
Steve: (short pause) Oh! I see how you all treat men over there, then.
Me: Only when they pee on the floor.
Steve: What if I come over and I miss?!?
Me: Well just don’t. Hey, do you want to go and get some dinner tonight?
Steve: I think I hear a bus. I’ve got to go.

(oh well)

This is the last Killer-Tato update... I promise. I had to share this with you, though. It was brought to my attention today that the frightening spud on Stephanie's desk is actually a GIRL. I didn't realize it when I left her there. In fact, none of us knew until Mr. Potato Head moved in last month. Since then, amazing things have happened.

The big orange ball has crested, and night-time has left the building!



I was fortunate to be born into a family of crazy people. We hugged each other and made faces at each other, and we sat on the floor and sang together when we couldn't figure out what else to do. We laughed a lot, cried a little, and bit our tongues often to avoid hurting each other. We still find excuses, good or bad, to rally.

“The sun came up today.”
“Good! Let’s get together and celebrate!”

“The sun went down.”
“Let’s have a party!”
