The News That Scooby Wouldn't Doo...
A New York construction worker who went to the E.R. after being hit in the head by a wooden beam is suing the hospital for forcibly giving him a prostate exam. ****In other news, claims are way down for workman's comp.
Angela Thomas thought she was saving her 9-year-old daughter from some grief over a lost pet. She found her daughter Danielle's pet hamster dead in its cage one day and did what many parents have done -- she buried it and proceeded to buy a new one without telling her daughter. Then that hamster died. After burying hamster number two, Angela spoke with a vet who told her that hamsters hibernate. If they decided to get hamster number 3, she's been told to check its vital signs before assuming the hamster is dead. ****If I were you, I wouldn’t take a long nap at the Thomas house.
PETA has declared war on the Olsen twins because of the fur they've been seen wearing. They call them Hairy-Kate and Trashley Trollsen. ****So apparently the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have no desire for the ethical treatment of people.
A Michigan man gave his grandmother an early Christmas present last month when he donated half of his liver to her. ****She wasn’t surprised though - she knew what it was as soon as she shook the box.
They may have spent a lot of money to convince the world that Wisconsin makes the best cheese on the planet but now state lawmakers and the Department of Tourism want to convince you that Wisconsin has much more than just cheese. They're trying to come up with a new "brand" to explain why they think Wisconsin is a good place to visit, live and do business. ****How about, “Wisconsin - our quarterback' s way older and way better than yours!"
A link has been found between dyslexia and low blood pressure. ****At least they think it’s a link; though it could be a kiln.
Fluffy, a 24-foot python billed as the largest snake in captivity, is staying put to lure visitors into the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. ****Well, that’s THEIR story. But then, YOU try telling a snake that size where to go.
Hope you're all having a great week!
