Strange Phrase Indeed

 Return of the Friday Five

1. I was behind a 90 year old man in the grocery store today (at least he SAID he was 90… and his ears were really big, so I’m inclined to believe him), and I decided to see what kind of groceries a 90 year old man buys. Planning for a long life, and all that… it doesn’t hurt to snoop. Cottage cheese… some kind of preserves… sugar donuts… huge red grapes… boneless pork chops… Munchos chips… and a bottle of Canadian Whiskey. I guess I could live with most of that.

2. Stephanie’s friend from New Orleans sent her 25 pounds of Crawfish for Christmas and she shared them with me! They were SO good.

3. When I was in high school I went parking with my boyfriend one night and we got the car stuck in the mud. We had to walk down the road to a farm house and call my brother in law (who was at my parent’s house!) to help us. Lots of strange looks when we got back, but nobody ever said a word to me.

4. We have signs like this all over Loves Park...

…and they really DO cross at the signs!

5. The “Grinch” song is one of my favorites, but I hate the line that says “You have garlic in your soul…” like it’s a bad thing.

 My Bad...

Hiya. Some of you have tried to call my cell phone, and I'm so sorry that I didn't say something sooner. I had an issue with Verizon a couple of weeks ago and after much thought and some debate (I called them a bad name -- ), I decided that I'm cell phone shopping again. Meanwhile, my home phone is the same. If you don't have it or can't find it, yell and I'll send it to you. Sorry about that.

 Marshmallow World

The snow and ice have arrived... the tree is up... we're good to go. Almost. Carrie's in the hospital again. Please say a prayer for her... I'm a little bit skeered.

Meanwhile, though, the view is nice...

Jenny and Layna had a snow day on Tuesday. She sent these from her phone. Looks like they had fun!

That's about it from these parts right now. Hope you're all having a safe and happy December!

 What Holiday Food Are You?

You Are a Fruitcake

People pretend you're sweet and precious, but they know how weird you really are!

Which of Santa's Reindeer are You?

You Are Donner

The most loveable and sweet reindeer, you're also a total dork!

Why You're Naughty: You keep (accidentally) tripping the other reindeer while flying.

Why You're Nice: You're always smiling, even if you've fallen flat on your horns.
