1. I was behind a 90 year old man in the grocery store today (at least he SAID he was 90… and his ears were really big, so I’m inclined to believe him), and I decided to see what kind of groceries a 90 year old man buys. Planning for a long life, and all that… it doesn’t hurt to snoop. Cottage cheese… some kind of preserves… sugar donuts… huge red grapes… boneless pork chops… Munchos chips… and a bottle of Canadian Whiskey. I guess I could live with most of that.

2. Stephanie’s friend from New Orleans sent her 25 pounds of Crawfish for Christmas and she shared them with me! They were SO good.

3. When I was in high school I went parking with my boyfriend one night and we got the car stuck in the mud. We had to walk down the road to a farm house and call my brother in law (who was at my parent’s house!) to help us. Lots of strange looks when we got back, but nobody ever said a word to me.
4. We have signs like this all over Loves Park...

…and they really DO cross at the signs!
5. The “Grinch” song is one of my favorites, but I hate the line that says “You have garlic in your soul…” like it’s a bad thing.
