Strange Phrase Indeed

 From Where I'm Standing...
Back to Full Blog

I know that I've brought this up before, but I love TV theme songs. I have a new favorite, so I'm bringing it up AGAIN.

Number Three:

"Heading up that highway leaving you behind
The hardest thing I ever had to do
Broke my heart in two but baby pay no mind
The price for finding me was losing you...
Maybe you and me were never meant to be
Just maybe think of me once in a while...."
~WKRP in Cincinnati

Number Two:

"Who can turn the world on with her smile?
Who can take a nothing day, and suddenly make it all seem worthwhile?
Well it's you girl, and you should know it
With each glance and every little movement you show it

Love is all around, no need to waste it
You can have a town, why don't you take it
You're gonna make it after all
You're gonna make it after all!"
~Mary Tyler Moore

And my Number One Favorite Theme Song:

"Someone once told me
The grass is much greener
On the other side
And I paid a visit
(Well, it's possible I missed it)
It seemed different,
Yet exactly the same
(Yeah, yeah, yeah)
'Til further notice,
I'm in-between
From where I'm standing,
My grass is green...."
~As Told by Ginger

How about you? Do you have a favorite?

The Jeffersons theme song was always a catchy tune that I liked. Gilligan's Island comes to mind too. I liked the opening of the Cosby show too but more because of the dancing.

Bear Hugs!
